| Good Magician Humfrey's Castle
This is the Good Magician's castle. He sets up three challenges for each person to keep undetermined visitors from getting in and asking Questions. You must be clever to get past them, for he wants only truly determined ones getting in.

| Fountain of Youth
The Fountain of Youth is the only one of it's kind in Xanth, but only the Good Magician Humfrey knows where it is. Too much will make you a baby, or even make you vanish, and with a piece of reverse wood, it will make you older, if you take too much that way, you'll get old and die.

| Peace Forest
The peace trees here will make you so sleepy that you will fall asleep...likely beside a tangle tree that will eat you. You must have great concentration to come here, or you'll fall victim to the tanglers.

| Isthmus Village
This is the Isthmus Village. The people here are rather unfriendly, likely because of Mundane Waves, but if you help them with their problems, you can be counted as a friend to them.

| Isthmus of Xanth
The Isthmus of Xanth is the entrance to Mundania, but if you leave, you can't use your magic in Mundania, and you may have a hard time finding your way back. Also, in Mundania, the Mundanes don't speak your language.

| Castle Roogna
This is the massive castle that royalty lives in. There is a hypnogourd growing by one of the walls, if you can find it.

A little village north of the Gap Chasm, the people here are friendly. This is where the famous Bink comes from.

| Gap Chasm
A very deep chasm with the ferocious green Gap Dragon roaming around. It travels with a WHOMP sound, so you'll know when it's coming. Very dangerous.

| Gateway Castle
The castle under the surface of Lake Ogre-Chobee, where the Curse Fiends live. They don't like letting prisoners go.

| Region of Madness
The Region of Madness drives sane people crazy, and crazy people sane, as the Demoness Metria knows.

| Gold Coast
Everything here is golden! But remember, there are nickelpedes hiding in some dark places, but also a slot machine to eat them! Be careful! The Sea Monster lives near here, and he comes to rescue damsels in distress.

| Centaur Isle
A large isle on the coast of southern Xanth, the centaurs here are hostile towards variations of their own kind, and will kill banished or 'different' centaurs on sight. Chex the winged centaur is not allowed here, she has wings, and is 'different'.

| The Moon
This is the moon. No one visits the side that is green cheese, because it smells, but the honey side of it is perfect for honeymoons. Hence the name 'honeymoon'.

| Lake Tsoda Popka
A lake filled with popka water, excellent for tsoda popka squirting fights. The Tsoda Popka monster lives here.

| Half-Baked Bog
The Half-Baked Bog got it's name because half of it is near the Region of Fire.

| With-A-Cookee River
A river that flows from the Half-Baked Bog. Plants that have cookees on them grow along the banks.

| Kiss-Mee River
A very affectionate river. It makes others affectionate and friendly.

| Mallow Marsh
A marsh that is close to the Region of Fire. Toasted mallow plants grow here.

| Ogre-fen-Ogre Fen
This is the Ogre-fen-Ogre Fen, where the ogres live. They are notoriously stupid, and like to twist ironwood trees into pretzels, and bash down other trees. It's easy to tell when you're there.

| Love Spring
This love spring is situated near the North Village, be careful, it will make you fall in love with whoever you see first that is of the opposite gender. There are several of these scattered over Xanth.

Uh oh! This is a hate spring, if you drink from it, you will hate all other creatures, and attack them. There are fewer of these than the love springs.

| The Void
This is the Void. There is a huge slippery funnel in the middle. If you fall in, you will turn into nothing...and never come back.

A very planty and earthy place. It has many volcanoes and mountains.

A wing-shaped lake filled with fresh water. This is where the merfolk live.
